Color-Block Polka Dot
Back @ work here, and though I was sighing as I read 12°F for the morning's temp, I still trudged in. Each winter day that's gray and gives me chills to the bone has me dreaming about spring! summer! the beach! (though that last one is many, many driving hours away). I have a color-blocked twin-set that I separated to pair with my polka-dot skirt today. The sub-zero temp boots are keeping my toes toasty, and I just love Dec.'s gamer magnet from @lootcrate for my filing cabinet. My trusty cardigan, going on about 7 years together now, and I will keep trying to stay warm!

Ready for Spring (and some Target love)
I took one simple dress from Target, and a Merona muted coat (because it's still winter in the Midwest) and added a few ready for spring colors and accessories (like a nice gold watch also from Target) . I'm not one for wearing much orange, but it is such a great complimentary color with pinks and golds. Also, I don't wear gold, but it'll be my "new thing to try" in 2014. (I know, big steps, huh?) I tried to look for pinks in the Pantone 2014 color: Radiant Orchid because it'll be the color that's in every window. I don't own a Michael Kors bag yet either, but everyone says they soft like butter and hold up well to work/mom/on-the-go lives.

Post Holiday Sparkle
I may or may not already be sick of being in the house- I guess you could say I've got some cabin fever going on or it's some psuedo-coming-down-from-Christmas high. Instead of trudging out in the cold to the crazy sales, I perused no-holds barred online and found some post holiday sparkle to share with you. Note: not a single price went seen; I was soul-searching for some happiness in gold and evergreen and lots of texture to wake up any blah-ness of winter. I might be in love with the avante-garde fish scales necklace, but you check it out for yourself!

From the Inside (of my closet)
Happy Christmas Eve from the inside (of my closet)! The light's a bit bright but considering I'm makeup-less (except for the LaqaLip) it helps brighten the complexion. I'm reporting from live inside my closet, showcasing lots of patterns and prints that have no rhyme or reason together. While I was reading up on the best closet-organizational tactics, it suggested sorting items by color and subject. But I just can't get that type-A on garments! I got an early great turquoise statement necklace for Christmas from my cousin and dug up my old skull + crossbones headband (there's a ton of cooking to be done). I also am *gasp sporting some skinny jeans that make meal prep easier- you won't see that often. And I just want to give a quick shout out to say Happy, Merry, Christmas-everything and peace be with you! xoxo Nazzy

Monday in 3
So....I'm not at the office right now. I'm here, but dealing with the heavy-handed winter in cold-and-runny nose-form. I have a love for "window shopping" online and am sharing a few things I covet. These are my picks for Monday textures in 3 different colors; they don't normally get love when together, but I'm convinced they would work. A simple printed dress; a cropped moto jacket; some nice bling. There are the usual booties with black tights- but they're polka dotted this time! I hope to have some pics from IRL tomorrow for ya.

Polka Dotted and Pink
I needed some bright + happy today so that equated out to a green polka dotted and bowed blouse with a bright pink cardigan. Since the top part of my outfit has lots of color going on, I left the bottom muted. Black pencil skirt and tights: always a safe bet. It's Friday here so the top is untucked and casual-ish, but a little billowy and fitted at the same time kind of like my hair situation. I included a stain glass ornament that was passed down from another coworker, who passed it down to her and all whom worked office assistant jobs. Good luck charm, maybe.

Wild Time
The gloomy weather just can't make up its mind around here! Today 50 degrees and muggy, and the weekend calls for rain/sleet/snow. The Midwest can't catch a break, it's a wild time. I brought in some leopard today; printed on my thin (perfect for mishmash weather like today) cardigan. I paired my usual uniform of black tights and brogues with a maroon pencil skirt and blush lace-textured top. Of course I couldn't wear the top alone! Because not only does it not have sleeves (for my sleeves), the lace is too baring. I haven't made the layered camisole jump yet, but I've been thinking about it... Also, do you think anyone noticed my office plant wearing a Princess Peach crown? Good fun.
