Vera Chiffon
My orange Gerber daisies are blooming out of control and even though I'm all allergy sniffles in the spring; I LOVE it! They add some non-boring color and liveliness to my office. I have a Vera by Vera Wang chiffon and cotton top today in a very light mint color just breezy enough for a sunny spring day. My top half is light and pale and the bottom half with my violet skirt and black tights with black flats is all dark. I kind of dig the look though; it's very me. Though a good friend said my look is very "Librarian Chic" I wasn't sure if it was a compliment or not; I like it now. My super-many-years-old off-white American Eagle cable knit cardi has become such a staple I wish I would have bought two! Back to my beverages and spreadsheets now.

Lace Shell
A lace shell top to go with my new lace detailed pencil skirt. Which is so pencil-y that I'm not sure if it's supposed to be tea length or I'm too short for it. Either way, since I don't own many blush or pale pink items of clothing, I thought it might be good for hinting at some color. Except since I have to wear sleeves, I wasn't sure what color cardi to grab. Enter: white cardi and black and white flats to tie it in a bit. This color is different for me, so besides lots of black (which goes a la so well with everything) I wasn't sure how to put it together. I like the details and the pencil skirt. Maybe I need a flowy peasant blouse (long sleeved) to go with it instead and forget the white. Hrm...
