Dusty Rose

 

A pencil skirt and some brogues are my go-to uniform lately.  I had this huge adoration for the figure of a pencil skirt, but I feel like it might be related only to the fall.  Pencil skirts don't feel spring-like. I have dusty rose lace and a bit of dusty rose print on my skirt today pulled together with a rather ordinary gray cardigan.  But the brogues, how I love them (especially with heel inserts, thank you very much).  I'm professing this right before our Midwest spring truly starts- with the first days of May later this week.  Time to flip the calendar, too!

Navy and Hot

Navy and Hot over hurrr. I mean hot like hot pink, or electric pink, or just plain old bright, happy pink.  I originally pair my flouncy navy dress with more muted colors like black, white, or even oatmeal, but my Monday's need more bright.  I feel like my shiny, silver bangles are another brightness, though maybe I should have went with non-neutral navy flats.  Or sandals.  But I fear our crazy almost-tornadic conditions and don't trust it's not going to rain when the sky is ominous. Just another reason for some hot color.
